About the role
We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Gothenburg. The Project Manager R&D is responsible for leading and managing the execution of product development projects from pre-study to launch. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring projects align with the company's strategic goals.
Main activities and responsibilities
Lead and manage product development projects and pre-studies within R&D.
Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and risks.
Coordinate with team and stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
Prepare and present project updates to various stakeholders, including team members, managers, and executives.
Support Product Managers to build business cases for New Product Development projects.
Conduct financial forecasting and follow-up.
Take part in developing and improving tools and best practices for project management and execution.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
What you need to be successful
We believe you have a strong background in project management and product development. You hold a BSc, MSc, or equivalent in work experience within engineering (mechanical, mechatronics). We also believe you have:
Knowledge of New Product Development processes, stage gate processes, and agile frameworks.
Knowledge of project planning, risk management budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience in managing mechatronic projects including mechanical, electrical, software, and control resources.
Experience in Jira.
Fluent language in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage team dynamics, and motivate team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategical mindset, understanding the big picture, adjusting available solutions to diverse audiences.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
Focused on customer and business value.
