One of the Nordic region's largest sites where we develop, manufacture, market and sell paint for indoor and outdoor environments for consumers, customers and industry. The business mainly consists of two companies. Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, a leader in the sale and manufacture of paints and coatings for industrial surface treatment for wood products such as windows, doors, floors, and furniture. Some of the customers are IKEA, Montana, Inwido and Tarkett. The other company Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells paints, varnishes, putty and wood protection products to professional painters and consumers. The portfolio includes the well-known brands Nordsjö, Sadolin and Cuprinol. At the site, 560 proud employees work to meet our customers' needs for high-quality products and services.

What will you do?
In the role as Senior Project Manager Production you will support and supervise projects for machine/equipment within manufacture & Industrial Excellence. You will further review and identify risks of site and then develop capitalized projects to resolve potential issues. Manage projects on behalf of Site Operations and delivers project studies, pre-projects and capital project at quality, in time and within budget.
You will be responsible for applying AkzoNobel policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems for ensuring that the requirements of the HSE&S Procedure are complied.
Your tasks are:
To perform and oversee project management including scope development, safety reviews, equipment specifications, field supervision of construction, cost control, commissioning, and project closure.
Ensure that site maintenance operations are planned in accordance with timing, quality, and costs objectives.
Together with Site Management Team develop and manages the Site Master Plan & Industrial Excellence projects and convert ideas into technical solutions as well as capex proposals.
Secure reliability and availability of installation of capex projects through establishing appropriate preventive maintenance and inspection plans that satisfy regulatory and business needs.
Conduct feasibility studies
Collaborate on managing product transfer such as insourcing/outsourcing of volumes to the site. New Product Introduction Procedures (Stage Gate Process) when technical solutions are needed.
Performs and oversees project management and engineering of capital and expense projects including scope development, safety reviews, equipment specifications, field supervision of construction, cost control, commissioning, and project closure.
Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as HSE and Product Safety standards.

This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible. You will report directly to the Production Manager on site.

We also see that you have following qualifications:
10+ years of experience in project management & process safety within manufacturing preferably as a Production Manager
Familiarity with the AkzoNobel policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement, six sigma backgrounds will be the plus.
Preferably a college degree or higher.
Experience conducting hazard studies
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
