Your team and daily work
You will join a skilled team responsible for the Asian market, meaning daily work with our colleagues in Linköping, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The team's main task is adaptation and integration of NIRA's products. The team consists of a Team Manager, Technical Lead, Project Manager, and Systems Engineers with well-defined roles and responsibilities. Further, you will cooperate with our partners in India.
Our business in Asia is growing characterized by fast paced projects and tight schedules. This means the team needs to constantly be responsive to partners and customers.
We offer you a role where you, together with the team, will have a great variation of tasks from customer relations and challenging problem solving to leading a team working with advanced vehicle technology.
Your work as a Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you get the possibility to gain your personal development in everyday work. During a regular week, you will coordinate the work in several projects, communicate with integrators, customers and stakeholders, and manage the project team to reach the set goals. You will solve challenges and problems together with a competent team and bring in experts where needed, all in order to ensure project deliveries on time and with high customer satisfaction.
Travels to NIRA and customer sites in Asia is included in the role. In the future, there are great opportunities to grow as a leader, both internally towards the team and externally within customer relations.
Your key responsibilities:
Planning, leading and follow-up your projects in the customer portfolio.
Coordinate and participate in customer contacts with technical leaders and other engineers.
Ensure that projects are delivered in time and according to quality requirements.
Actively strive for good and long-term customer relations together with Team Manager and Sales Department.
Create the best possible conditions for the project team to reach its goals and contribute to a good and inspiring atmosphere.
Cooperate with other teams for the best of NIRA.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we expect following qualifications:
Several years of experience of project management or other leading/leadership role
Knowledge/experience of project management model (including planning, execution, follow-up and finish)
Excellent communication skills in a multicultural context
Good English skills, both written and spoken
Structure and clarity in documentation
Class B driving license
As a person, you truly enjoy leading others, you communicate in a clear and honest way, and find effective solutions - both short and long term. You find it easy and natural to cooperate with others and are open for feedback. We also believe you are flexible and proactive, and can quickly adapt to changing situations. Furthermore, you are business-oriented with a strong customer perspective and understand the value of good customer service - at the same time, with the team's and NIRA's best in mind.
It is advantage if you have working experience of vehicle industry and multicultural working context (preferably from Asia). Also, a degree in technical studies such as BSc MSc engineering or equivalent or studies within project management is meritorious. As to languages, Chinese and Japanese is a plus.
