We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead international project teams through the full product development process for electronic / electro-mechanical products. The position reports to the global PMO (Program Management Office) organization and is based in Malmö, Sweden.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the entire lifecycle of challenging projects, you will translate the requirements into operational action plans, ensure compliance with relevant standards, develop, plan and manage implementation as well as provide overall leadership to guide your project team towards the goal.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Managing all functional competencies from "Open" to "Close" project stage gate. Drive projects in a culturally diverse and complex environment
• Direct all project planning and monitor the activities required to meet project goals
• Clearly define and control the project scope and requirements to ensure common understanding and avoid scope creep
• Execute and maximize project pay back within the project budget, performance, and schedule constraints utilizing the Schneider Electric Offer Creation Processes
• Manage the expectations of, and relationship between, the project team and all functional areas critical to the success of the project, as well as customer contacts, while maintaining an understanding of the value of the project under development for representative customers
• Provide periodic reports of project status and progress to management and other stakeholders
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects through solid Project Management knowledge and skills
• Technical competence and experience, in order to understand and challenge the different activities, such as technical, marketing, purchasing, manufacturing etc
• Ability to master complex situations, fast-paced environments and changes
• Ability to effectively lead a cross-functional, culturally diverse team with members in different countries and continents towards a common goal
• Excellent leadership qualities, with an open and collaborative working style
• Ability to quickly understand new development processes and tools and lead others in their utilization
• Fluent in English. Swedish language skills are desirable but not mandatory
Experience:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business with Engineering minor or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in leading Electro-Mechanical development efforts for serial production of new products
Extensive experience working in Product Development Project Management
Ability to communicate efficiently with all organizational levels (co-workers, managers, steering committee, 3rd party vendors) from different countries and culture
