Digital & IT is a function in Group People & Culture at Volvo Group Headquarters. We are responsible for driving the digitalization agenda within HR in the Volvo Group through setting the strategic direction of and managing the HR applications as well as the HR project portfolio. Our team is based in Gothenburg and Lyon and our team works in various roles leading our Digital and IT journey within Group People & Culture. We are working in a global context in close collaboration with our colleagues in Group People & Culture, Group IT and the HR functions in our Trucks Divisions and Business Areas.

Key responsibilities
Translate strategies and visions into actions when planning, setting up and executing projects
Drive change through project execution using established project methods including agile
Lead both smaller and larger change initiatives and projects in the role as project manager. Our change initiatives range from transformation projects and user experience projects to operations & delivery improvement projects.
Communicate and keep stakeholders involved, informed and up to date
Contribute to the Digital & IT priorities for People and Culture in the Volvo Group
Stay connected with the external evolution of digitalization for People & Culture and bring insights to projects, our team and the Volvo Group

Who are you?

As Project Manager within HR Process & IT you are responsible for planning and executing one or several projects, sometimes from the very first phases even before an actual project is to be established. You have a genuine interest in supporting our aspiration to support the Volvo Group to be the most admired employer in our industry and curious how digitalization can support this journey.
You feel comfortable taking initiative and working independently although at the same time available to share your experience with your colleagues and support our team goals. With a positive, proactive and flexible attitude and the ability to build, develop and grow professional business relationships with your stakeholders, you will secure the success of the projects that you are managing as well as the success of our organization as a whole. Being professional in every aspect comes natural for you.

Required knowledge/experience

In this position you will be part of the People & Culture Digital & IT team and to be successful in your new role we want you have the following knowledge/experience:
Relevant University/Master's degree
10+ years experience and proven successful track record in project management in IT and/or change projects in global organizations, preferably in HR digitalization and transformation projects
Strong ability to adapt to different situations and to deal with uncertainty
Extensive change management skills and experience
Hands-on approach, capable of quickly switching between strategic thinking and operational creating
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, verbally and in writing
Eager to learn and work with your own development as well as active in sharing your knowledge with others
Knowledge and understanding of HR business processes
Experience in supplier management and sourcing processes
Experience from implementing commercially available software, preferably cloud or SaaS solutions
