Project Manager - Online Services


Your future challenge
The Project Manager within the GIS IT Services organisation is part of the organization that delivers IT projects for the Husqvarna group. As Project Manager you manage and lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives and lead external resources.

In this role you will mainly work towards the newly established Online Service Competence Center that develops and maintains Husqvarna 's online and ecommerce solutions. Under online services Husqvarna incorporates for example our global websites, the support sites for our resellers, our ecommerce services for ordering products and spare parts.

In addition, you have the opportunity to continuously improve the IT project management discipline.

This position might require some travelling both in Sweden and abroad.

Team description
You will be part of the GIS Program and Project Delivery Team that consists of internal and external project managers delivering projects.

The Online Service Competence Center you are supposed to mainly work in is a newly established team. The team is responsible to drive the long term online service platform strategy and at the same time to transform business requirements into IT solutions on this platform. In addition, the team has the responsibility to develop and maintain the platform. The whole mindset is based on an agile approach.


Your role
Responsibilities include
• Direct software development projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
• Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
• Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
• Validate financial forecasts and other related project expenditures
• Partner with business sponsors to define business requirements, success metrics and criteria
• Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
• Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
• Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company and the online service competence center.
• Support to establish specific guidelines for the online service competence center
• Continually update relevant business stakeholders of project status and periodically publish project status reports
• Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
• Represent the project in various project governance and inter-department forums
• Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall and integrated delivery plan


Assist, share learning, and mentor others within the PMO/GIS organization to promote the successful delivery of projects.


Who you are
We believe that you are a person with a passion for project management and looking to continue to grow within the project management discipline.
• 3-6 years of project management experience in managing projects
• Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects in a large global enterprise / operating environment
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools (especially for agile approaches)
• Experienced in working with stakeholder to manage their expectations and engaging them to address project issues
• Project Management certification preferred but not required
• Experienced in software development projects
• Prior experience in online service and ecommerce
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Corporate language is English.
