You will be part of ABB Power Grids Sweden AB, working at the System Design departments for the HVDC unit in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, land and sea cable systems. www.abb.com/hvdc.The HVDC System Design departments are responsible for electrical design of HVDC plants. Rating studies, specification of high voltage equipment, definition of concepts for control and protection design as well as system studies are part of our scope of work.

Your responsibilities
As Project Manager your task will be to coordinate our technical offices, on budget and in time.
You will represent the system design department in project teams and report to the Senior Project Manager.
The position entails technical coordination, where you participate in technical problem solving.
You will also collaborate with other departments such as time planning, economy and sales.
When the time is right, you may manage complex projects on your own. In other words, your ambition is the foundation for your development opportunities.

Your background
We are looking for Bachelors or Masters in the field of Electric Power Engineering or Engineering Physics.
Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English.
As a person you need to be a team player and work in an analytical and structured manner.
You take responsibility for your work and deliver on time.
