Since Formox began licensing its process technology in 1966 more than 120 plants based on the Formox process have been built by our clients in more than 40 countries, on all continents except Antarctica! Wholly owned by Perstorp, and world leaders in formaldehyde technology, we supply know-how, plants, catalysts and technical support. In order to meet an increased sales volume and an increasing number of plant projects we now seek to employ an additional Project Manager.
Your role within the Formox project department will be project management and coordination of engineering, procurement and supply of assigned formaldehyde plant project(s) globally, from contract to commissioned plant. You will be based in the Formox head office in Perstorp, Sweden. Part of the job will be travelling to clients and suppliers all over the world.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Lead, organize, prioritize and monitor the project teamwork in allocated projects.
• Act as the direct contact with the customer during project execution.
• Responsible for planning and executing the equipment purchasing in the project, in consultation and co-operation with colleagues and project team.
• Evaluation of existing and prospective suppliers.
• Participation in continuous development of our plant design.
The suitable candidate should have a Master degree in engineering or similar, documented Project Management experience, preferably within the process industry. Essential capabilities are technical skills, a service-minded approach, good communication and negotiation skills, ability to establish and keep good relationships with project members and customers. Drive, commitment and a proactive attitude, being able to grasp responsibility and also an active approach to troubleshooting is natural to you.
Language skills in English at a negotiation level (written and verbal) is a requirement.
Experience from overseas projects, project procurement activities of pressure vessels and process equipment would of course be an advantage.
