Employment profile
We are now seeking a Project manager with focus on international development for a part-time (60 %) post, with a possibility for expansion. The post is temporary, for a period of 18 months, but it is possible that this will be extended. The post is based in Falun, Sweden.
Job description
The main work task consists of the development of the internationalisation of courses and programmes at Dalarna University. More specifically, the job assignment is partly to lead and coordinate the development of a one-year master programme in African development, and partly to take part in the development of global and sustainable perspectives in our programmes. Another important assignment is to find possibilities for fundraising of projects with a special focus on third-world countries. The employment is located at the School of Education and Humanities, but involves cooperation with other departments of the university as well as external organisations, companies and universities.
Eligibility
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of the level of competence required for the employment. In addition, the level of administrative competence and other types of competence of particular importance for the employment will be taken into consideration. Moreover, the level of competence to develop and manage projects and staff at the university, as well as the ability to cooperate with the external community, will be taken into consideration.
In the recruitment process is also subject to the general objectives of Swedish employment policy.
A very good knowledge of, and proficiency in, the English language is an absolute requirement for this employment.
Other qualifications
The job requires a high competence in organisation and cooperation as well as the ability to work independently. Knowledge and previous experience of development work within different international organisations is particularly qualifying.
