Right now, I plan to strengthen my team with more project managers that can help us in our transformation journey. We will increase our R&D budget and continue developing electrical drive lines for both marine and industrial use and at the same time we will also upgrade and develop new combustion engines in order to meet new legislations and stay competitive during our transition period.
Since we are in a transformation phase, it is important that you feel comfortable in a changing environment where all requirements are not fully defined. You will most likely also be part of developing new processes where needed. You and your project team will be responsible for the R&D budget, technical development and verification and production preparation. To build trust with stakeholders and line management it is necessary to be a good communicator/listener and least but not last you shall have a proven leader ship talent.
Project Management Engineering belongs to Product and Solution Development which is the biggest function within Volvo Penta. As a PME (Project Management Engineer) you will be responsible for the technical part of the development projects. The areas of responsibilities are design, verification & validation and manufacturing however you will also be working a lot with product management, aftermarket and purchasing.
Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should:
Know the product development process well and have personal experience from industrializing products or services.
Have been technical responsible for a product development project through all development phases.
Preferably have experience from developing electrical drivelines, Energy storage systems and/or Diesel engines.
Have an excellent relationship- and interpersonal skill and you can easily reach across functions, processes and organization when needed. You bring the best out of individuals as well as the organization.

Preferably you should have at least five years of professional experience within project management.
