Business Division Asset Development runs major development projects and research and development initiatives in Vattenfall. Our mission is to safely deliver the right projects on time, within budget and according to specifications. Our task is to ensure consistent portfolio management, development of benchmark project skills and control, as well as increased efficiency of R&D. We consist of 5 Business Units, Engineering (Engineers grouped by competence, deployed in projects in BD Asset Development and in the other BD's) R&D projects: (responsible for identifying, developing and implementing value adding technical solutions) Thermal projects (development and execution of Moorburg, Magnum, Twingo and other Thermal projects), Nuclear and hydro projects (responsible for development and planning of large projects for Nuclear and Hydro as well as all new build initiatives) and Project Governance & Improvement (responsible for Project assurance, Project economics and project performance improvement within Asset Development and other BD.) We are approx 2000 employees located mainly in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.
PG&I (Project Governance and Improvement) within this context will be the competence centre for management of projects with a group wide responsibility for project related processes. We will develop uniform project management- and work processes to enhance project performances and allow better development and deployment possibilities of project resources.
Project Management Competence Development specialists
We are now looking for two specialists who will, together with the Head of Competence Development, set up a Project Management Competence Development team. The main focus is to create and establish a project management competence model/program that will ensure the best possible match between projects and project managers. Initial scope of work is limited to staff and projects within Asset Development but expectations are that the model/program will be rolled out across all project management practitioners in the Vattenfall Group.
Job description and responsibilities * Develop, introduce and drive the competence model/program in close liaison with HR functions as well as business units
• Provide support to managers using or planning to use the competence model/program
• Document and follow up all processes
• Communicate and inspire stakeholders regarding the model/program throughout the organization
• Actively participate in the creation of PG&I
Qualifications:
• An academic degree within a relevant area is required
• You have experience as a project manager and/or experience in working with Competence development models
• Experience working with IPMA is considered a merit
• You have a good command of written and spoken English
• You are a service minded person who see the advantage in working cross-culturally
• You have an excellent skill in building relations and you really like to work in a team
• You have the ability to work with endurance, and also flexibility enough to change directions if needed
