We are searching for a RD&I Project Leader to join the RD&I Cellulosics Team, based in Stenungsund, Sweden. AkzoNobel has a unique technology base and profound experience in the production of high quality cellulose derivatives, specialty polymers and additives. In the RD&I Cellulosics Team in Stenungsund we take care of product development and technical support with a strong focus on rheology modifiers for waterborne architectural paint.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in product development projects to enhance growth and commercial success of the business
• Actively participate in technical support to our customers in cooperation with our sales team
• Communicate product development and progress to our sales team or directly to customers
• Act as technical representative during customer visits, exhibitions and seminars
• Prepare and hold technical presentations at various occasions, inside and outside the company
• You will work in a global environment and travel to visit other AkzoNobel sites and our customers
Qualifications
• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (PhD, MSc or Bachelor)
• A deeper knowledge and/or experience within paint and coatings
• Able to manage big development projects and the capability to lead multidisciplinary and international teams
• Proactive attitude, independent and result driven
• Good sense for strategic and commercial business aspects
• Hands on and willing to work in the lab
• Team player with communication and interpersonal skills
• Drive for sustainable solutions
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
