Project Leader - Engine Management System (EMS)

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As PROJECT LEADER - ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) you will be responsible for securing that all deliveries within the group are in due time for each milestone and project. Based on the project plan you will initiate and coordinate all required activities that need to be done within the group. You will also communicate the requirements to other groups and areas so final deadlines can be met with good quality. You will have a cross-functional role and develop a broad network within Volvo Car Corporation.

The EMS-components is the group within Engine engineering responsible for both installation and specification of most electrical hard ware components required for controlling and monitoring engines.

Job profile:

• Initiate and proactively coordinate all required activities in order to meet the group's deadlines
• Be responsible for keeping track on both product costs and investments
• Arrange and carry out meetings with various departments in order to maintain a good quality
• Prepare and present the group's work to the management group
• Secure that all related project systems are up to date and with good quality

Your profile:

• Excellent at communicating and a good listener
• Great sense of organisation and good administrative skills
• Independent and also a strong team player
• Desire and ability to contribute to the development of both the team and the work processes
• Interested in, and comfortable working with components that have clear mechanical and electrical interfaces
• University degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanics or equivalent working experience
• Meritious is experience from the automotive industry and engine calibration
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbal and written
