We are looking for a visionary engineer who will help to identify opportunities for cross functional collaborations with the aim to innovate within sustainable, cutting-edge technology.

Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance and to improve the society we live in. In this role you will join our dedicated Advanced Engineering team at R&D working to drive innovation and cutting-edge technology through partnerships and collaborations. True to Polestar's vision you will eagerly strive to seek out innovative and impactful solutions and projects.

• Identify opportunities for cross functional collaborations with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to innovate within sustainable and cutting-edge technology
• Seek out, develop and manage external and internal partnerships. Academia, research institutes, suppliers and other external partners
• Lead all Advanced Engineering projects within the AE portfolio connected to partnerships where funding from third part is included

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg. We understand that work-life balance isn't easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.

What you'll do

• Write the applications for the cross functional project opportunities within new technology areas
• Follow up Open calls and scan the market for opportunities within our focus areas
• Support Polestar's departments in creating action plans for Advanced Engineering activities in line with Polestar's sustainability vision and strategy with Polestar 0 project
• Together with R&D process responsible document the key factors in the application process and how cost- and status reporting should be carried out

Your team:

• Direct report to Advanced Engineering manager
• Part of the global Advanced Engineering community
• Close collaboration with relevant roles at VCC, Geely and other group affiliates

Who you are

• You have more than 3 years of experience working with cutting edge technology within research and development
• Good social skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and partners
• Preferably you have a relevant university degree (+3 years) within mechanical engineering or similar
• You have a proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups
• You are energized by working in a creative start-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating structure where needed
• Not required but preferred if you have experience from writing applications for funding opportunities
