Interior Trim within Interior department develops system solutions by in-house design engineering as well as with suppliers. Interior is a highly focused area both from styling and customer point of view, which makes it an interesting and dynamic department to be a part of. We consists of approximately 100 engineers organised into four groups developing components within the following areas: Trunk trim, Door trim, Pillar trim, Interior Light, Headliner system, Floor carpets and Sound absorbents.
As Project Leader - Interior Trim, you are responsible for all deliverables connected to implementing the concerned system solutions into our new car models. You will perform design reviews and work in close cooperation with suppliers to ensure delivery in your projects.
Main responsibilities
• Lead a cross functional team in engineering projects and ensure delivery with regards to time, technology and cost requirements
• Ensure that verification activities are planned and performed according to the overall time plan
• Ensure production launch and commonality between the projects
• Manage supplier contacts with regards to planning and monitoring
• Ensure that correct part structure is created and that the technical documentation is reviewed and released
Required qualifications
• University degree in Mechanical engineering
• Experience from project management
• Excellent English skills, written and spoken
• Driver's license B
• Experience/understanding of design work in Catia or other systems that manage drawings and 3-D models is meritorious
• Experience from automotive is meritorious
Personal qualities
• Strong project management skills, ability to lead tasks towards goals and deliver on time
• Organised, structured and able to handle many tasks simultaneously and to take decisions
• Eager to work in a group and to cooperate with other people
• Self going and highly motivated to take up challenging tasks
• Customer oriented
