The automotive industry is on the transformation journey into electrification and autonomous driving, besides that we are changing also internally. Who we are
The first thing you will notice on a car is the exterior with its front and rear lighting. Lighting is Safety! Besides that, the Exterior Lighting is a key communication point for Volvo Cars towards the customers and this will even increase in the future, due to more advanced technique and styling.
Our Team, Rear lighting, belongs to the section Exterior System within Exterior Department. We are responsible for development of all the Exterior Rear lighting and Rear lamps/reflex/brake lamps.
We are now looking for a new Project Leader for our team to develop and launch Volvo Car Groups coming car projects. You will be a key contributor to improve decision making in a tight collaboration with suppliers, Design department, Safety centre, Electric department and Exterior department.
What you will do
You will be a team member in the Agile team. You will work cross functionally together with your teammates and deliver backlog for each increment. You will be a senior leader within the team who mentors colleagues, develop new technologies and lead current & coming projects. You will be responsible for supplier contact and handle time, cost and technical deliveries.
You and your skills
We are looking for you who has a degree in Engineering, preferably with a Master of Science within Electrical Engineering, Technical Design, Industrial Engineering or similar. We believe you have strong communication and leadership skills. We believe that you are an experienced leader who can balance tasks and prioritize.
We value experience and knowledge within Exterior Lighting Systems high for this position. Optic engineering competence is also valuable for us.
You have a positive attitude and like to be proactive, you possess the courage to take the initiative and lead changes. You like to keep things in order, deliver reports on agreed time and have things structured and organized. Besides your great communication skills, you need to have an ability to present things in a good and clear way.
Drivers licence is required.
