As a Lead Engineer, you will be part of Energy Industries, a division within the Process Automation business area that delivers solutions in Digitalization, Electrification and Automation to our customers, primarily in the energy and water, chemistry, food and pharmaceutical segments in Sweden. Our project businesses are currently located in Kista, Västerås, Malmö and Mölndal and we work closely integrated between the locations in our project deliveries.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers and other engineering colleagues in delivery projects within the areas of automation, industrial IT / OT and digitalization directly to our end customers, all the way from idea to commissioning and follow-up. The projects are executed in-house from our office but work on site can occur in connection with commissioning.

In this role, you report to the Engineering Manager. Location is at our office in Västerås or Kista.

Your responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer, you assume a leading role in our customer projects in the area of automation, industrial IT / OT and digitization.
You will be responsible for the technical coordination and review of the design work for your projects, both internally within the projects and towards the customer.
Projects vary in size where content can generally include system design, programming and application development, system installation, documentation and testing, as well as commissioning and aftermarket support. We base our project deliveries primarily on ABB's market leading DCS platform 800xA.
You are the one who supports the project managers and sometimes the tender engineers with your deep technical knowledge in automation and control systems so that we can ensure the technical delivery.

Your background
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical relevant field or equivalent.
You have relevant experience from previous roles in the areas of automation, industrial control systems (DCS / SCADA) or Industrial IT / OT.
Experience and knowledge of System 800xA and / or Advant is an advantage, but experience from other DCS systems is also positive. It is also an advantage if you have competence within the electrical field, instrumentation or have previously worked in / towards the process industry.
As a person, you put the customer in focus and have an ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
You can combine your technical know-how with a commercial angle and thrive in a leading role where you are independent and can take responsibility and initiative.
Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike, is required.
You have a driver's license level B. Travel in connection with mainly customer meetings, supplier visits and commissioning mainly within Sweden, but international travel can also occur and be planned well in advance.
