Yara Marine Technologies, formerly Green Tech Marine, was established in 2010, and acquired by Yara in 2014. Yara Marine Technologies develops innovative and high performance solutions within environmental and energy saving technology for maritime and offshore industries. Their groundbreaking technology is setting a new standard in environmental ship and offshore operations. As pioneers, Yara Marine Technologies are enabling ship owners to operate their ship on heavy fuel oil instead of marine gas oil, reducing operational cost and emissions.
Yara Marine Technologies are on their way to set a global footprint within the maritime and offshore industry. They are now searching for a Project Engineer with experience of design and Engineering from process, maritime or offshore industry. The position will be located at our Gothenburg office.
Responsibilities
As a project engineer, you work as a support to the project in the work to lead and manage the technical aspects of the project throughout the process. You are familiar with the contract contents and ensures that the planning and design process is followed, adapted to the task and implemented according to the rules and regulations. This means that you are involved in scheduling, project tracking, quality management, risk management, project planning meetings and site meetings. Your main tasks will be:
To coordinate all technical issue within a project
Drive preparation of technical work package and deliverables in conjunction with respective departments
Assuring the quality of design solutions
Give support to subcontractors and fabricators to make sure that they fulfill our quality standards
Participate in client meetings, testing activities and System commissioning
To act as an interface between Project Manager and Design disciplines
Background and skills
Engineer with design experience from Process- or Maritime industry
Master or Bachelor degree and 4 years’ experience from similar positions
We also encourage candidates with lower education but long practical experience within their field, to apply
Ability to lead others
Personal qualities
We are looking for persons with a genuine technical background, combined with interest in details.
You should be structured and systematic, self-driven and able to take decisions in order to drive the project forward Ability to travel up to 80 days per year
