Position description:
We are looking for a Project Engineer, Shields & Covers within Powertrain Integration who will be involved in all phases of vehicle development projects.
Description:
• Support purchasing and supplier quality in supplier assessments/reviews.
• Be responsible for technical requirements and specifications, for related parts.
• Be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures for shields, covers, brackets and attachments.
• Support the powertrain and chassis engineering and development organization with theoretical and practical knowledge on shields, covers,brackets and attachments of the components.
• Be responsible for component performance through the complete product development lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain internal and external networks on related parts and systems with integration expertise.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products
• Lead and plan all design activities to meet target dates.
• Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products, processes or reduce cost.
• Identify root-causes of identified issues during verification/validation and develop countermeasures as needed.
• Make proposals in 3D to investigate the feasibility of concepts. Represent at packaging meetings
Skills and required experience:
Qualifications:
• Relevant experience in the work area, preferably in the automotive, minimum 3-5 years
• University engineering education within relevant area or equivalent experience
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of vehicle development processes, both in a Conventional- and an Electrical Vehicle context
• A thorough understanding of powertrain integration.
• Experience from cross functional work teams
• The ability to speak and write in English
• Driver license B
