hela Sverige Johnson Controls Marine, Norrköping, Sweden, continues to build for the future within the field of marine refrigeration services and seeks a service project engineer to manage the execution of various service jobs - ranging from smaller on-demand services up to large retrofit projects.
Your primary tasks
You will be managing the execution of a variety of service jobs, ranging from the delivery of single components up to large and complex systems solutions. All project execution is carried out in close co-operation and collaboration with other local functions; sales, field service engineers and our highly qualified in-house technical department, as well as with external subcontractors and company factories and spare parts hubs.
As our projects involve the supply of both material and onboard services, there is an important element of logistics in the job scope; you will manage purchasing and logistics for material supplies, and you will work closely with our field service team in order to co-ordinate the dispatch of service technicians to site.
As a project manager, you will also secure that legal and contractual obligations are met; by us, by our subsuppliers and by our clients. We apply monthly financial reviews and follow-ups, and you have a key role in this process as well, staying on top of customer invoicing and contract spend for each job.
Another part of the job is to support our sales team with technical input in their creation of customer offerings; our offerings are always tailor-made solutions - our collective know-how and experience is the "catalogue" from which we create our offerings. It is necessary that you embrace the spirit of "everyone is part of the sales team", and depending on your profile and how our needs develop, you may move towards a sales role in the future.
The role calls for some business travel, inside and outside Europe; typically 15-30 days per year.
Your background
We believe the ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering degree (BSc or MSc), and experience from the installations contracting or industrial service business. Experience from the discipline of refrigeration is obviously a merit, although not critical. Fluency in English and Swedish, written and spoken, is a must.
