Do you want to energize your career by working in challenging customer projects with advanced power and electrical control systems? Hitachi Energy, Grid and Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) unit (former FACTS - Flexible AC Transmission Systems) in Västerås, currently has several vacancies for Station Operation and Monitoring Engineers within our Global Center of Competence / Control Engineering department. We are looking for a motivated, teamwork-oriented doer for this position. Your responsibilities
As Station Operation and Monitoring Engineer with focus area HMI, you will deliver high quality and cost-efficient graphical user interfaces for our customers.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the HMI application to the order projects including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning support.
The job includes creation and validation of HMI configuration and components, visualization of plant items, operating states, and control parameters on the HMI screens.
You will often work with several HMIs in parallel and will have to prioritize between tasks in accordance with business needs.

Your background
You have engineering related degree, ideally computer science with a specialization in data communication and network technology. Similar training can also be considered.
You have preferably some years of experience from similar engineering positions, e.g., working with process- or substation automation and operator interfaces.

Relevant experience in some of the following areas will be considered meritorious:
HMI / SCADA solutions for the energy industry
System development within Industrial Control and Protection Systems, Substation Protection, Automation & Telecommunication Systems or similar
Implementing operator interfaces using AVEVA System Platform (InTouch)
Manufacturing operator interfaces using Hitachi Energy Micro SCADA
Experience in MACHTM Control System is considered a strong plus

This position involves a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues worldwide; therefore, English is required, both verbally and written; Swedish is considered as an additional plus.
