hela Sverige Energy Management Business is one of six business units within Alstom Power. The Swedish unit was formed on 1 April 2010 as a part of gathering Alstom Power's automation resources (Systems, Products, Services, Hydro and Wind) into one joint organisation. We are now setting up the organization and need to recruit a Project Director based in Norrköping.
The main aim of this role is to take full P/L responsibility for the Project portfolio, personally lead I & C projects as well as lead others to ensure that each team member is fully committed and motivated to deliver the projects to customers? satisfaction, in line with contractual requirements, whilst ensuring maximum commercial benefit to ALSTOM Power. Hence, this role includes the Line Manager role of projects at EMB.
The person will report directly to the Managing Director for EMB Sweden. Depending on project, the Project Manager, Project Controller, Quality Manager and Supply Manager, etc will report to the Project Director. This role includes participation in the management team.
The role will be responsible for the entire scope of the project from time of taking it over from Sales Manager until FAC is achieved. A main task will be the contacts and to manage the relationship with customer and any other parties (external and internal) involved into project execution process. It is important that the Project Director takes the leadership and coach, coordinates and facilitates the Project Managers and project team to ensure maximum focus and action on the right priorities throughout the Project execution. The person will also be responsible for financial control of the project and different financial indicators, such as sales, results and cash flow. It is also important to be able to manage the reporting.
This is a demanding role and you need at least 5 years experience as Project Manager for technically complex projects. It is an asset if you have a background in the power industry with experience from I & C, site and construction. It is consequently an advantage if you are familiar with contracting, planning and scheduling. It is useful if you know legal and claim management as well as sales and purchasing. You also need a solid background as a Manager and know the importance of boosting moral with a respectful way of working. In essence, you need a good technical and strong commercial background. A University degree in relevant area will be an asset. You are used to the challenges working in an international environment and the processes of a large company.
