Dellner Couplers is an expansive and international company that delivers sustainable, innovative and high-quality products and services to train operators and train builders worldwide. Our products consist of couplers, gangways and crash management systems for the railway industry.

We are now looking for a Project Design Engineer to strengthen our Lead Engineer team. You will work with a broad range of products within train connection systems, with special focus on couplers.

As a Project Design Engineer, you are a part of our Lead Engineer team to fulfil technical project design in our customer projects around the world. You support our Lead engineers in technical project management focusing on detail and top-level design, investigations and documentation.

You report to Lead Engineer Manager, the position is placed in Vika, Falun.

Your responsibilities

• Perform detail and system design per customer specifications and internal rules and guidelines
• Prepare project documents and drawings
• Manage project meetings and design reviews, both internal and external
• Review and approve drawings and documents
• Support Lead Engineer in technical design reviews and meetings with customer
• Act as deputy Lead Engineer at internal and external First Article Inspection
• Ensure that design time plan is followed

Traveling will be necessary in accordance with the project requirements.

The successful candidate will have the following profile:

Education & Job experiences

• MSc or BSc in engineering
• 2+ years of engineering experience
• You are experienced in CAD and preferably you have project management experience

Personal skills

• Strong technical understanding and analytical skills
• Team orientated with good interpersonal skills and cooperation with colleagues and other departments
• Project management skills: ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time
• Customer orientated approach
• Well organized, highly motivated for the job and with an open attitude
• Fluent English skills, verbal and written
