Project controller to Scania Project Office

Scania Project Office has the task to manage Scania's cross-functional product development projects, from concept to the industrialization of complete trucks, buses and engines. The project portfolio consists of many parallel projects and projects in various stage of maturity, with participants from all parts of the company. The Project Office is a highly dynamic work environment where various strategic issues and challenges constantly are treated.

Project controlling is a group within the department Project Office. The main tasks and questions are about the project economics. Cooperation within the VW Truck & Bus and generally increased focus on product cost and project economics makes the near future for project controlling very interesting.

Your duties
• You are working close together with several project managers to develop product, project and profitability calculations in order to have a basis for project decisions. The project economics have to be monitored throughout project life cycle and presented to management so that the right decisions are made with respect to our project portfolio.
• You coordinate the involved line departments and evaluate the reasonableness of estimates and made assumptions.
• You participate with your colleagues in the joint analysis of the project portfolio mainly concerning cost and resource issues. The work involves a lot of ad-hoc issues - from individual questions to major analysis for strategic decisions.
• The work is highly interdisciplinary. You will have a broad exposure area and you have frequent contact with Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Finance & Business Control, and R&D.

Your profile
We expect you to have a curiosity of the whole but do not hesitate to go down to the level of details. You have a great industrial understanding and see a challenge in the connection between economics and technology. You have a master degree in engineering or economics. Good knowledge about automotive industry, investment decision analysis and excel knowledge beyond the basics is an advantage. A positive and responsible attitude is assumed. The calculations are performed in close cooperation with all parts of Scania organization which requires you to enjoy working with people and feel comfortable to work efficiently with a large network. You are prepared to independently operate cross-functional investigations, result-oriented and has a good ability to run against multiple projects in parallel. You must master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
