The Purchasing Controlling department (within Group Trucks Purchasing function) assures high quality data to help the Purchasing organization take the right decisions to achieve company strategic objectives. Controllers are taking a proactive approach by challenging Purchasing with qualitative performance analysis to point out areas which need to be improved.

Bought materials represent ~70% of truck standard cost of production. Monitoring this spend in the Project face is crucial to secure group profitability. As Purchasing Project Controller, you will be in charge of measuring, analyzing and challenging purchasing cost performance in the Trucks Projects. You will work in close collaboration with RnD controllers as well as with the team handling product cost in Group Trucks Technology to secure optimized prices and investments.

You will contribute to secure the Vehicle Project scope in Europe and secure right price from the sourcing to start of production. Furthermore, you will be the business control interface for the European Project Office Vehicle, Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics & Russia. You will participate and contribute to the management team monthly performance review meetings.

You will report to the Director, Investment & Project Control in GTP Business Control.

Responsibilities:
You measure and analyze first price of new parts in our Product projects and the price evolutions up until Start of production. Furthermore you make sure we optimize the Vendor tool investments in the project face. You use this business knowledge to forecast financial consequences in terms of material price and investments. You are responsible to produce forecast and perform monthly bridges on variances towards estimates.

As Business Control Interface, you act and are recognized as a finance business partner. You give guidance and support to the management team. You consolidate, synthesize and monthly present the department contribution to the group strategic objectives. You bring financial highlights to the decision-making process.

Close to the business but Independent, you safeguard integrity in purchasing activities and behaviors.
As part of a global team, you actively participate to best practice sharing activities and contribute to the development of tools and processes to the benefit of the entire team.

Competences:
Drive for results
Analytic and synthesis skills
Product cost and/or profitability analysis in Development projects
Ability to transform data into business information
Leadership skills : communication, priority setting
Capacity to build international and cross-functional network to the benefit of the position mission
Capacity to use English as working language (written and oral)

Background and Experience:
Master degree in Finance/Business control or successful past experiences in business control, purchasing or product cost
6 years minimum on a similar business control position in an international environment
