Quintus Technologies specializes in the design, manufacture, installation and support of high-pressure systems for sheet metal forming and densification of advanced materials and critical industrial components. The role
The position as a project buyer is an operational role which means that you are responsible for all purchases and the entire material budget within a customer project. You are responsible for ensuring that the right material is selected at the right price and agreed quality and that the material is delivered within the set time frames. You communicate and drive requirements and time plan for projects with suppliers and report the status of the projects and material to the Project Manager (PM). Furthermore, you also hold the responsibility for the quality of delivered material as well as for quality claims and delivery penalties. You perform your daily tasks in close cooperation with project managers, production engineering and strategic buyers.
Main tasks:
Responsibility for the material budget and to take any actions needed to mitigate material cost overruns.Chose possible suppliers based on drawings and specifications request and receive supplier quotations.Negotiate prices, terms and conditions with suppliers.Choose the best supplier from a total cost approach.Issue all Purchase Orders for your projects, follow-up and secure deliveries on time.Communicate the quality requirements in the contract Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).Take actions on supplier quality issues in your projects.Implement relevant commercial or logistical data in the business system.Be part of the project core team and participate in project core team meetings.
Experience and competence
For this position we are looking for an experienced project buyer with 3-5 years of experience from senior procurement roles and who holds a University Degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering or has a degree from a post-secondary education such as "Yrkeshögskolan".
Fluency in English and basic knowledge in Swedish is a must. Proficiency in any other European language is advantageous.
