We are currently looking for an Project Buyer for our customer in Mölnlycke. The company develops and sells systems for free-form production. The company's technology, Electron Beam Melting, means that the component is built up of molten metal powder in layers upon layers. The company's products are mainly used to manufacture orthopedic implants and in the aerospace industry. The head office is located in Mölnlycke and has support offices in the USA, Italy and China.
You will belong to a team of 6 people, the team is responsible for sourcing of direct material to the production and after market demand, as well as prototypes to project. One of the teams main challenges and responsibility is to keep timeline in the projects and have a very big focus on inventory levels as well as on time delivery, both from suppliers and to customers.
As a Project Buyer you manage, advice and support the PD organization in sourcing related questions to find solutions and address questions and projects to the right suppliers, to ensure the optimal contribution to meet targets of cost, time and quality. You will have the following areas of responsibility:
• Ensure adequate supplier selection from the approved supplier list when possible for new parts.
• Identify the need for new suppliers (technologies) in cooperation with Strategic purchasing and perform needed sourcing activities.
• Supplier selection strategy together with strategic purchasing.
• Communicate and drive requirements and project time plans towards suppliers and involve critical suppliers in the early project phase.
• Drive or support PD in supplier related activities like design involvement, resident engineering, DFM.
• Report status to projects concerning prototypes delivery, product cost, supplier readiness etc., and ensure purchasing commitments are done at every project gate.
• Manage and maintain the prototype purchasing procedure.
• Purchase representative when building pre-production machines and 0-series.
• Responsible for PO, OA, delivery control and invoices for NPI prototype material.
• Responsible for project purchasing related item data in ERP is being added and updated.
• Sourcing representative in NPI projects.
• Responsible for initial forecasting when NPI moves to start of production.
• Represent NPI sourcing in the engineering change process.
• Represent purchasing at technical review for NPI.
• Drive Sourcing view in NPI process development
• Act as resource for the entire Sourcing team and be prepared to support all other roles in the team when necessary
This is a full-time consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant. The assignment plans to start as soon as we find the right person for the job and last until 2022-01-31.

• Academic background in purchasing, engineering, economics or equivalent experience from the purchasing field.
• Solid general technical understanding and strong business acumen.
• Strong mechanical background in regards to understanding specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of the governing principles of LEAN.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish.
• Microsoft Office programs, mainly Excel and PowerPoint
To be successful in this role you are outgoing and self-motivated with an interest in commercial relations. You can take decisions, even if not all pieces of the puzzle are available. Furthermore you are structured, motivated and result driven.
