This is an opportunity to join the Component Manufacturing & PD Equipment Investment team in Europe. We are a team spread over four sites in Sweden & France and now we are eager to welcome a newcomer to our team. We especially value a high level of energy and a positive spirit.
In this position, you will have the possibility to interact with people from the whole world and to get a good insight into different cultures and people. You will develop and grow through formal trainings, but mostly through learning by doing and interacting with colleagues around the world.
What will you work with as Project Buyer within our team?
You will be responsible for handling sourcing of CAPEX investments (production equipment) to the Volvo sites in Sweden. Within the Investment team, we work with the mindset that the right buyer should work with the right project, meaning that depending on person, level of experience and skills, the projects will vary.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Drive purchasing activities for Capex Investment projects
Lead supplier negotiations
Build and maintain strong business relationships with our suppliers
Build and maintain strong relationship with internal stakeholders
Build strategic business plans for specific segment(s)
Who are you?

To be able to handle ambiguities and hold things together during tough times is also an important skill.
Since the job is about building relationships plus negotiating and convincing others about the best solutions and ways of working, we also believe you should have good networking skills, analytical skills, and the ability to be effective in a variety of presentation settings.
Desired Education & Experience:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Excellent spoken and written English and Swedish
