At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, communications officers, network technicians and engineers. Here we have the research specialisations of Embedded Systems, and Innovation and Product Realisation. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.
The position is in the environment of Embedded System which is mainly dedicated to software development for embedded systems in automotive, rail and telecom domains, as well as in automation and process industry.

Position description
Mälardalen University is looking for a project assistant specializing at European industrial collaborative research projects, with competence as lawyer. The position will mainly be for Data protection coordination of a current project (VeriDevOps) and partly for proposal management for European projects within Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.
Data protection coordination of VeriDevOps (H2020-ICT-50-2020) being the global data protection officer of the project.
Tasks involve:
• Work package lead of WP8 Ethic Requirements
• Global coordination of the data protection
• Chair the Ethical and Data Protection Committee
• Data protection policy, technical and organizational measures to safeguard rights and freedoms of the data subject/research, description of security measures against unauthorized access to personal data, description of the anonymisation/pseudonymisation techniques implemented in the project, detailed information on the informed consent procedures in regard to data processing, templates of the informed consent forms and information sheets.
• Human participants (recruitment and identification, consent procedures, consent/assent forms and information sheets)
• Also other legal issues will be assigned the project assistant, as follow up IP issues or other issues related to the consortium agreement
Proposal management:
• Network for creating new consortiums, pitching project ideas, collecting contacts at brokerage events, contact new potential partners, organize meetings with new partners, etc.
• Coordinate beneficiaries and chairing consortia meetings on legal issues
• Collect participant data
• Write certain parts as the management section and work packages in European proposals,
• Start up new projects
Qualification requirements
The applicant is required to have:
• At least a University degree in Law.
• Documented experiences from
• Preparing Consortium agreements with ITEA, DESCA and ECSEL templates
• Negotiating consortium agreements
• Dealing with IP issues in existing projects
• Preparing H2020 proposals
• H2020 project reporting
• Legal aspects of ERASMUS+ proposals
