In this important position working with large and complex projects, as the Project & Tendering SCM, you plan and execute procurement activities for projects in order to achieve our project objectives related to budget, schedules and supply quality. You will act as primary interface between the Project Manager, project team and category teams on all supply chain management (SCM) matters.

You will be part of the new established EPC Project Office in Sweden, which is responsible for managing project execution, business development and sales in our allocated markets, i.e. Nordic countries as well as Sweden-financed projects, presently in Iraq but expanding to other countries.

The EPC Project Office in Sweden belongs to an EPC EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) hub consisting of several project offices within the EMEA region.

As the Project & Tendering SCM, you will collaborate with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project. You will develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for submission to the Supply Management department. You will also align project supply chain activities with the SCM organization's sourcing strategies and approved vendor list. You'll also work to ensure best cost, quality, sustainability and delivery performance and ensure alignment between local SCM activities and the SCM centers.

Another important role you will have is to manage relationships with suppliers (including negotiations, frame agreements and purchase orders) in partnership with our regional and global category management teams.

Your responsibility will also be to apply project procurement procedures and plans and confirm appropriate implementation and compliance by the procurement team. In addition, you will monitor the project procurement status and pro-actively work to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery, as well as update ABB project management and supply chain management of any issues as necessary.

You will also have a collaborative role where you interact with the project team to identify new suppliers and supplier changes, and acquire customer approval for the project supplier list.

Ideally, you have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or business administration with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a project environment and a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a supply chain function along with procurement experience of tailored equipment. Longer experience is not necessary but considered valuable.

Good knowledge of processes in industrial, large and complex or turnkey contracts and strength in commercial/legal aspects of purchasing is required. Apart from this, the most important aspect is attitude. We are looking for you who are enthusiastic, energetic, willing to learn and to help out wherever needed in order to reach the project's goals. You are curious by nature and have excellent communication skills. It is required that you are fluent in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Arabic would be considered added value.
