Since 1873, Atlas Copco has developed innovative products and solutions for the miningand tunneling industries. Right now, the company has ambitious plans for a global businessexpansion within underground mining. For that Atlas Copco needs to expand their developmentorganization with more than 50 engineers and managers. If you want to develop the company's future of world-class products, using the latest of engineeringmethods and processes, then you are the person Atlas Copco are looking for. Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation (URE) has a large program of machines used in tunnelling and underground mining operation, for example Drill Rigs, Bolting Rigs, Scaling Rigs, Loaders and Mine Trucks. The machines are used all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity. They are available in various technology levels, from simple to fully automated with diesel and/or electric drive trains.
Description of Responsibilities
The position as Project and Technology Planning within the Project Office, URE R&D, is a key function to support New Product Development projects and Continuous Product Improvement. In defending the company's vision of "First in mind - First in Choice", Atlas Copco must deliver new products efficiently and in time.
As Project and Technology Planning you will work with planning of projects and resources and gathering/structuring of information related to new development projects and continuous product improvement. This will involve responsibility for:
• Project, resource planning and follow-up
• Gathering and structuring of reports and information from the field organization
• Project KPI:s up-dating
• Preparing and distributing material for various meetings and forums.
You will have cross-functional contacts within the company and work close together with project managers within the functions of new development projects and continuous product improvement. You will report to the head of the R&D Project Office.
Competence Requirements
• Proven skills within planning and/or information handling and structuring
• Strong communication skills.
• Service minded and self-going.
• Strong skills in using PC and software's for planning, information handling and presentations.
• Competence in English, both verbal and written.
• University Degree, or relevant experience.
Country and City Description
The successful candidate should be based in Örebro, Sweden. Örebro is Sweden's seventh biggest city, with around 130,000 inhabitants. It is located in the center of Sweden, population-wise - 2 hours to the east coast (including Stockholm); 3 hours to the west coast. There is a good infrastructure and facilities, and virtually no traffic - so the quality of life is high. There is an established and growing international community. There are also schools that offer education in English, including the International Baccalaureate syllabus, plus a university. More information on the city can be found on www.orebro.se. Atlas Copco is the biggest private employer in Örebro, with currently around 1,700 employees in total.

Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation is a division within Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area. It develops, manufactures, and markets a wide range of tunneling and mining equipment for various underground applications worldwide. The division focuses strongly on innovative product design and aftermarket support systems, which give added customer value. The divisional headquarters and main production center is in Örebro, Sweden.
