Operations is about getting more medicines to patients quickly, affordably and sustainably. About the role

The Project/Programme Manager leads a project team from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. Project/Programme Managers are responsible for determining and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include Risk Management and delivery of business benefit.

Typical Accountabilities

* Agree and deliver plans for projects / programmes, including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality as defined in the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF).
* Coordinate status and delivery of project workstreams. Identify dependencies between projects (intra-program and across portfolio).
* Be a great partner with key business collaborators to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives. Responsible for steering / partner meetings, communication of status, issues, risks.
* Ensure effective risks & issues management processes are in place and effectively used. Resolve problems and raise as appropriate.
* Build a cohesive project team and provide the leadership necessary to increase the team's success. Provide individual mentor and development of team members as needed.
* Lead changes to project/programme scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to collaborators and review boards.
* Develop service transition plans including controlled hand-over into support and maintenance.
* Ensure the project team adheres to all standards including ADF, quality, and compliance, as well as processes, defined technical capabilities, and standard methodologies. Establish program governance and lead Decision Point reviews; member Steering Committee.
* Ensure encouraged benefits realization is consistent with project deliverables and clearly understood by partners and project team.
* Support continued development of a world-class centre of excellence for project management capabilities and ensure that standard process is adopted and reinforced.
* Typical project cost in the range of $500k - $1m, with a project team of up to 8 people.
* Effectively collaboratively with:
* Supplier Management function to manage delivery of small to medium-sized supplier contracts
* Suppliers to ensure delivery of agreed products and services while ensuring adherence to AZ project delivery standards

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

* Technical or Business Degree or relevant confirmed experience
* Experience from working with system implementation in a manufacturing environment
* Confirmed skills and experience managing and controlling project and programme budgets, particularly engineering projects experiences
* Strong communication and relationship management skills
* Experience leading and developing global project teams with strong problem skills
* Evidence of crafting innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organization
* Experience working in a global organization where collaborators and project team members are geographically dispersed

* Knowledge and experience with suppliers and supplier solutions
