hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Swedish Workplace Hiv And Aids Programme i Stockholm The International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR) and the Swedish Industrial and Metalworkers' Union (IF Metall) have jointly decided to initiate and implement a long-term strategy to contribute to the establishment and/or support of HIV and AIDS programmes at Swedish related workplaces in sub Saharan Africa. Through Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS Programme (SWHAP), individual programmes are now in place at more than 70 workplaces in 9 countries in Africa. www.swhap.org.SWHAP is currently looking for a Programme Coordinator. The position offers the possibility to take part in an interesting international project together with a team of dedicated coordinators from different countries. The successful applicant will have the overall responsibility of managing the project. Among other things, the job includes leading the work of the locally employed coordinators, reviewing applications to the Board and Executive Committee of SWHAP, being responsible for the communication work of the project, having the responsibility for the budget and reporting of the project, being in contact with trade unions and major corporations in Sweden as well as international and national NGOs, institutions and Sida.
The position is fulltime. SWHAP, currently, has funding until 31 December 2012. The position is located at the SWHAP Secretariat in Stockholm and part of the work require travel to Africa. The applicant is expected to start as soon as possible.
Duties
Coordinate the programme fulfilling quality requirements within the given time- and resource limits.
Manage external relations.
Lead the general administration of the project (including handling of payments, documenting information etc.).
Reporting to Sida.
Responsibility for the budget of the project.
Development of the communication of the programme.
Performing other tasks as the need arises.
To be eligible, the candidate must fulfil the following professional criteria:
Have a completed post-secondary education of not less than three years in Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Business or related field. Alternatively, have professional training of an equivalent level.
Have several years of experience of working in an international environment with relevant duties in a similar field.
Experience of working with international development cooperation and/or working in a developing country.
Knowledge and proven professional experience in the areas mentioned in the job duties.
Excellent command and experience in writing in English.
Excellent practical knowledge of MS Word and other MS applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Ability to respect confidentiality.
The following attributes would be an asset:
Experience from trade unions and companies.
Experience of HIV and AIDS specific programmes.
Experience on working with information and communication (i.e. writing publications).
Knowledge of other languages spoken in sub Saharan Africa (in particular French or Portuguese).
Salary: The monthly salary will be set based on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
