Internationellt arbetar vi tillsammans inom IOGT-NTO:rörelsen med att minska bruket av alkohol och andra droger som utvecklingshinder för att på så bidra till en demokratisk utveckling och en minskad fattigdom. Vi finns framförallt i Syd- och Sydostasien , Östafrika och sedan några år tillbaka på Balkan. Vår verksamhet omfattar policyarbete, opinionsbildning, organisationsutveckling, förebyggande hälsoarbete, utbildning och fattigdomsbekämpning. Huvudkontoret för IOGT-NTO-rörelsens internationella arbete är placerad på IOGT-NTO:s kansli i Stockholm. Vi har två regionkontor i Thailand och Tanzania samt större partnerorganisationer i Sri Lanka och på Balkan.

Programme Coordinator (substitute)
The IOGT-NTO Movement organizes nearly 47,000 members in Sweden and work with reducing the harms from alcohol and other drugs in developing countries.
The international department is run by our three offices in Sweden, Tanzania and Thailand, where we have partnerships with civil society organizations in East Africa, Southeast Asia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Serbia and Sri Lanka.
We and our partners work with community development and mobilization to make communities more resilient against harms from alcohol and other drugs, policy advocacy for more effective alcohol legislation and promotion of healthy lifestyle and well-being
Duties and responsibilities
We are now looking for a substitute programme coordinator to our office in Stockholm, Sweden from March 1 or earlier, to December 31, 2020.
Your main tasks will be:
In cooperation with colleagues in Sweden coordinate the implementation of our programme activities carried out by the regional offices in Tanzania and Thailand; handling our three partner projects in Sri Lanka, Serbia and Bosnia-Hercegovina, including reviewing applications, budgets and reports and giving required support; be the focal point person for cross-cutting themes such gender, child-rights, environment and conflict, developing and giving support to the whole department; network with stakeholders, in particular with regards to the cross-cutting themes; support the grant coordinator when required to maintain good communication with our donors, and to ensure timely reporting and responses.
The position can require travel to our partners and regional offices.
Required Qualifications
- a Bachelor Degree in relevant subjects, or equivalent qualifications gained through work experience;
- 2 years of experience of international development cooperation;
- experience of assessing applications and reports and monitoring of development projects;
- good understanding of results-based management for development cooperation;
- good understanding of Rights-Based Approaches;
- excellent ability to understand, speak and write in English.
Desired Qualifications
- experience of working or other engagement in non-profit organizations;
- experience or knowledge of alcohol and other drugs as a development challenge;
- experience or knowledge of global health work;
- experience of integrating gender, children's rights, conflict and environment in development programmes;
Other information
The service is a substitute position between 2020-03-01 to 2020-12-31.
You will be working at the IOGT-NTO Movement's office at Stora Essingen, Stockholm.
You share the values of the IOGT-NTO Movement and are required to become a member of one of the four member organisations of the IOGT-NTO movement; IOGT-NTO, UNF, NSF or Junis.
