Central Ordering will play an integral role in supporting all procurement and change coordination, as well as with the overall organization of each program within the Transportation network. This individual will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change and ambiguity. In order to be successful within this role, this individual needs to be a self-starter that is able to identify opportunities and drive solutions. You will be part of a high functioning team that is interconnected and supportive of each other to help complete multiple, complex and high capital projects simultaneously. Key job responsibilities:
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the specific needs of capital projects
Participate in program level coordination meetings
Collate and host site specific kickoff meeting with Procurement Team
Collect and compile required information to create ordering file per site
Manage ordering waves accordingly and ensure ordering is 100% on time on each site
Compile relevant metric information and publish to program leadership on a weekly basis
Able to create advanced excel files and databases
Coordinate the needs of multiple projects to ensure materials are delivered on time
Identify potential risk to ordering and delivery timelines. Is capable of taking accountability while providing status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary
Prioritizing shipments and resolving shipping issues
Collect project information on key metrics and report out weekly to program leadership
Act as the central hub for managing changes affecting the different programs supported. This includes but not limited to attending Procurement meetings, staying connected to project activity in the field and communicating issues to the wider program network. Active participant in the review of business processes, systems, team skills and partner with relevant stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver best practice initiatives
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
Demonstrated design and/or implementation of small scale projects.
Ability to travel up to 30%
Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills
Ability to identify and prioritize workload requirements
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Project and Outlook Basic knowledge of database applications
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field Operations Management or Procurement experience
