hela Sverige The Institute of Medicine, which employs about 400, is the largest department at the University of Gothenburg. Our activities and operations extend over large fields of knowledge, with a broad research and teaching profile ranging from molecules to the community. The Institute of Medicine is organized into four departments with large teaching assignments, and it is responsible for an interfaculty master's program in global health; for the Dietitian Program; for courses in internal medicine, community medicine and general medicine in the Medical Program; for continuing education of physicians trained outside the European Union; and for medical students' project works at the master's level. Education and research is conducted in close and well-functioning collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Region Västra Götaland. The university has a strategic focus on sustainable development and globalization, among other things, within the framework of Center Global Migration.
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: Global health is an area for academic study, research and placement that focuses on creating good and equitable health globally. The subject emphasizes transnational health issues and health determinants and solutions, and it affects many disciplines within and beyond the health sciences, encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and seeks to create a synthesis between the public health perspective and individual-based health care. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: The assignments involve research, teaching and supervision within the subject area. The job holder is expected to personally conduct active research and to create an internationally competitive research team with significant external funding components. Regarding education, the job holder will have the overall responsibility for the university's interfaculty master's program in Global Health, is expected to serve as coordinator and supervisor of the medical students' international project work at the master's level and is expected to monitor and develop the global health perspective of Sahlgrenska Academy's various educational programs.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Proven scientific and pedagogical skills. ASSESSMENT: First assessment criterion is documented scientific and pedagogical skills. Second assessment criterion is administrative skills and ability to collaborate. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational training program within the first year of employment.
