JIBS seeks a full professor in Accounting, supporting the continued development of the Accounting and Law department. The department has strong research in the respective fields of accounting and law. Our research environment encourages working over disciplinary boundaries.
WORKING TASK / QUALIFICATION
The selected candidate will conduct and develop research projects and strategies, supervise doctoral students, teach courses at mainly master and research level. The selected candidate should also be able to take on the responsibility to develop a good research environment within accounting at JIBS. The position also includes an active part in reaching out and communicating with the local industry and society.
The position is full time and requires a PhD degree in business administration with focus on accounting, in addition experience and performance appropriate for an appointment at professor level is expected. A professional command of English is required, and knowledge in, or the will to learn, Swedish is also considered an additional qualification. In making the selection, importance will be given to achievements and experiences of the applicant in the following areas:
• good knowledge of international accounting standards and preferably knowledge about the Swedish accounting standards.
• be part of relevant research networks
• experience and accomplishment in attracting research funding
• experience of teaching in different settings (doctoral students, masters students, undergraduates, and executives)
• the ability to communicate with academic and professional audiences
• ability to work in joint research projects and team activities
