www.jibs.seDuring the last ten years JIBS has been a very successful business school, especially within the focus chosen, both within Sweden and internationally. JIBS is now making some substantial investments in Accounting and Finance in order to create a leading research and teaching setting in the accounting area.
Financial Accounting is the study of the preparation and use of financial reports, accounting principles, criteria and disclosure policies to external users. It deals with theoretical models as well as actual policy (national and international) in accounting standard setting, accounting legislation and securities market regulation.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must demonstrate willingness and ability to contribute to the JIBS environment. Applicants are expected to contribute to research development of the department and teaching. Special attention will be paid to documented merits concerning
Familiarity of and contribution to contemporary research
Capability in managing development and research projects
Experience from doctoral education, especially tutoring doctoral students
Experience from international projects
Ability to contribute to the business world and obtain external funding
Teaching
The applicant should have a PhD degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) with a relevant profile. Administrative and professional experience is of merit. Professional command of the English language is a requirement. Speaking Swedish is not required.
Tasks
The positions include the professor’s research agenda, supervision of doctoral students and teaching both at introductory and advanced levels. The professors have a special responsibility in doctoral education programs and research within Business Administration. It is required that the professors establish and manage contacts with national and international researchers within the field and actively apply for external funding.
