You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team with the mission to develop the design and operation of our plants.
ROLE PURPOSE
As Production Engineer you will be responsible for daily operations and development of the operation in Stenungsund LD or HD-plant. Main focus in one of the positions is to develop the products, quality and customer satisfaction within the plant, and to participate and coordinate the quality development. You report to Production Manager for the plant respectively.
As Process Development Engineer you develop and improve technical, economical and HSE&Q aspects of the existing polymerisation plants in Stenungsund, to produce high quality polyethylene for demanding applications. You support the design, operation and upgrade of the plants, and report to Asset Development Manager, PE.
CONTRIBUTION
Some differences depending on what role:
• Assure plant safety/performance and cost effectiveness in daily plant work
• Assure that the shifts have needed procedures and instructions for daily operation
• Strive for continuous improvement by utilising different processes and teamwork
• Administrate/investigate complains, and propose and perform corrections together with others concerned
• Plan/coordinate, perform and follow-up test runs
• Responsible for introducing new products into the plant
• Be proactive in finding innovative and optimal process solutions
• Identify and initiate improvement projects
• Be responsible for benefit studies and preparing project proposals
• Participate in start-up, commissioning and tuning of process plants
• Trouble-shooting and problem solving in the plants
• Hold seminars/training activities, and actively contribute to networks within ones specific field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or closely relateD
• At least 3 years of working experience within the process industry
• Competence in the area of process design, operation and quality
• Knowledge of project management
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Ability to build a broad contact network inside Borealis and outside
• Ability to prioritise and take decisions
• Good skills in engaging, motivating and involving people
• Good communication capability
