Job description
Manpower Professional is looking for a Production Test Engineer on the behalf of Bombardier Transportation. Your focus will be developing new applications and platforms for production test equipment and support existing test equipment in use by Bombardier.
These equipments are essential to ensure that divisional products are delivered on time and to the required quality. The equipments are located at both internal and third party CEM manufacturing sites. You will be working as part of a global team and be responsible for designing tests for a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical products for the Product Design Authority.
In you role as a Production Test Engineer you will be expected to:
• Develop test plans for a range of products from digital systems to safety-critical transmission units.
• Develop, specify and commission key test equipments at worldwide external and internal manufacturing sites.
• Support existing test applications to minimize production downtime.
• Provide design for test feedback during the product developmental phase.
• Develop test instructions and system manuals as supporting documentation.
• Evolve and improve test hardware platforms and software frameworks and develop processes in a growing function.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the role as a production test engineer are minimum 2 years of relevant industrial experience or degree in engineering with working knowledge of C#.net and/or C++ languages. You should be able to develop specifications required for and finding faults in electrical and electronic hardware. Computer skills required are MS project, MS Office and MS Visio. Further more experience in disciplines such as software version control, RF test, Labwindows/CVI, measurement studio, product development cycles or mechanical design is advantageous.
