Production Manager Vara Plant
We are searching for a person with drive and passion for leadership to take on the role as Production Manager for Volvo Penta's biggest plant in Vara. This is presumably one of the best and most efficient marine engine plants in the world and our adamant work with continuous improvements aims to keep it that way. After many years of developing into a lean, ergonomically and environmentally friendly plant we are ready and happy to take the next step. We would like you to join forces with us!

As we see it, you are an experienced leader with a passion for people and development, well acquainted with the industrial environment and the production processes. You understand the dynamics of organizational culture and possess the ability to strengthen culture through focus on cooperation and development in order to create a great future workplace.

As a member of the Vara Plant management team you will report directly to the Vice President of the plant and have a direct impact on the strategy for the future development of our plant. You have a team of highly engaged Production Leaders and a VPS (Lean Manufacturing) coach reporting to you.

The function of Global Operations & Quality is proud to be producing and distributing top quality engines to most corners of the world, upholding the Volvo Penta brand and reputation. The Vara plant consists of 220 highly skilled employees who all contribute in this process.

Your key responsibilities as Production Manager entails:
Leading and developing your team
Employee Engagement
Continue implementing and developing our Lean philosophy
Responsibility for development of production setup and daily rationalizations
Budget in own organization
KPI targets
Safety- environmental work within own organization
Participation in Penta common projects (Engine projects)

Qualifications:
University degree within area of relevance for the position

Key Competencies and Abilities:
Ability to challenge and drive for improvements
Strong ability to understand and capture business needs
Analytical mindset
Ability to work with a high level of integrity, courage and credibility
Strong ability in implementing and leading change
Being a team player able to build strong long-term relations and networks
Excellent communication skills, English and Swedish
