Skånemejerier is the second largest dairy company in Sweden and has about 600 employees. Skånemejerier is a part of the French Lactalis Group since 2012, the world's number one cheese producer and one of the largest dairy groups in the world, owning more than 230 industrial plants around the world. Lactalis is primarily known for their international brands; Galbani and Prèsident which are sold across 160 countries. In 2015, the Lactalis Group reached a turnover of 17 billion euros and has 75,000 employees across the globe.
The plant in Kristianstad produces among others Herrgårdost, Prästost and Grevéost under our well-known brands Allerum® and Skånemejerier. There are approximately 80 employees at the plant.
As a Production Manager at Kristianstad diary plant you will lead the employees in the production, ensure the business requirements for optimal delivery, quality and precision. Your role will be important for us in order to create a link between the overall business goals and the tasks in the production. You will also be involved in defining the dairy business plan to deliver in accordance with the budgeted targets.
You will be part of the plant's management team and report directly to the plant manager.
You should have experience of managing and developing employees in a business with good results and have proven management experience, preferably from companies in the dairy industry.
Furthermore, you should have good collaborative skills, be analytic and be able to drive decision-making throughout the organization efficiently. You possess a natural leadership style with clear communication skills. Being visible and accessible with the ability to build consensus is essential in this position.
As a Production Manager your main tasks are to:
• Secure a good working environment
• Constantly improve the production process, preferably through a lean strategy
• Maintain and improve food safety and the quality of the products
• Ensure optimal production to achieve the expected volumes and maximize financial results
• Analyze the production results and identify areas of improvements(costs, volumes, time and disruptions.)
• Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards
• Manage people and secure the necessary competences needed
We imagine that you:
• Have an educational background within food engineering or as a dairy technician alternatively you have a similar education and a long experience of working in a dairy plant
• Have knowledge of quality and environmental systems and HACCP
• Have knowledge and experience from improving the work environment
• Possess general computer knowledge and preferably good in excel
• Have experience from previous managerial position
• Fluent in, or willing to learn, Swedish
