The Sodium chlorate plant is located at Site Stockvik that is operated by Pulp and Performance Chemicals. The site consists of three separate and independent BU's where each unit has its own characteristics and complexity.
The Sodium chlorate plant is a critical asset in our manufacturing system, producing Sodium chlorate, mainly for the pulp and paper industry. The plant operation is a continuous process using a wide range of unit operations and technologies. Safety is our highest priority.
We are now looking for a Production Manager to the Sodium chlorate plant in Stockvik.
ArbetsuppgifterAs Production Manager, you have the responsibility for operations of the plant in Stockvik. You organise daily operations in the production facilities in a safe way and ensure the most efficient production possible. This is a permanent position on a full time basis, reporting to the Site Director Stockvik. There are 6 direct reports and the Sodium Chlorate plant has about 30 employees in total.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Define, propose and implement policies and projects (financial, administration, engineering, etc.) in order to optimise the chlorate plant
• Define annual objectives for the plant in line with Site and BU targets
• Responsible for submit-, coordinate- and report deviations of the budget and investments for the plant
• Lead, coordinate and manage Production, Maintenance, QHSE, Lab and Administration functions
• Insure that all positions are staffed adequately
• Ensure the tight respect of the legislation regarding the plant as well as all AkzoNobel policies and programs
• Communicate and negotiate with unions
• Be a member of the Safety and Health committee at the Site
• Communicate relevant AkzoNobel policies to the plant team and to the employees
• Represents the Chlorate plant to the local authorities
Profil• University degree in the field of production or Chemical engineering, Industrial engineering or equivalent major
• Several years of managerial experience with proven good leadership skills
• Experience from change management and enjoy being a manager in an environment of change
• Experience of LEAN or other manufacturing excellence programs and/or being a Six Sigma credential belt holder is an advantage in this position
• As a person you are responsible, result oriented and communicative.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, written as verbal
