As Production Manager, you will lead our production of high-efficient large motors and generators, with full accountability of running the day-to-day operations. This to ensure that all products are manufactured in a safe way, on time and with the right quality to our global customers. In this role you will get the opportunity to continuously develop your leadership skills in the pursuit of reaching our strategic goal.
The position is located in Västerås, Sweden.
This position reports to Manufacturing Unit Manager.
Your responsibilities
You will be fully responsible for the production and lead a team of 9 production line managers with 200+ co-workers.
You will have delivery and budget responsibility, and will be a part of the Manufacturing Unit management team.
You will be responsible for health and safety, delivery performance, quality and cost efficiency of the production.
You will engage, coach, and lead your line managers and co-workers to ensure that we work towards common goals and are constantly improving our tools and processes.
You will be responsible to ensure that all of your departments are working with Lean production according to our Machines Production System, with support from production engineering, planning, logistics and maintenance, to continuously improving people, processes and tools.
As part of the Manufacturing Unit management team, you will contribute to the factory of the future and have great ability to affect how our operations are run, both on an operational and strategic level.
Your background
University degree in Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience from a managerial position within production or similar.
Knowledge and experience in Lean production.
Self-driven person with demonstrated leadership capabilities, a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Willingness to develop people and businesses, a strong result focus and the ability to coach, inspire and engage other people.
Fluency in both Swedish and English is required, written and spoken alike.
