Due to our strong growth in business we are extending our management team at SGS DNA. Our current Production Manager will be assigned to a new role in the team and therefore we are looking for his substitute. 2019 SGS DNA will go through an interesting journey since we are increase the number of employees and by the end of 2019 we will move to a new larger location in Västerås! All this to meet our increasing demand.
SGS DNA is a reputable company that is part of the QIAGEN Group. The company is located in Köping and has 60 employees. We produce oligonucleotides for primarily diagnostics (IVD) but also other applications. The company also provides certain related services such as analysis and stability studies. We apply Medical Technical Directives, ISO13485 (EU) and 21CFR820 (USA). We are focused on international markets for molecular diagnostic and other areas of medical applications like personalized healthcare.
Position Description
• As Production Manager you are responsible for the supply of oligonucleotides in terms of
o right quality
o right time
o right cost
• Lead a motivated team of approx. 30 laboratory assistants and engineers supported by 3 direct report team leaders
• Budget & cost center responsibility
• Member of SGS management team
Position Requirements
• Ensure oligonucleotide manufacturing according to cGMP & ISO standards
• Reduce lead times and enhance capacities in term of machinery & personnel
• Develop the production organization & employees according to growth
• Change management according to new machinery & site move
• Process optimization & application of lean tools
• Working safety
• Cost reduction
Personal Requirements
• 7-10 + years Production Management experience in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical field or similar
• Degree in chemistry, biology or comparable discipline
• Proofed transformational leadership skills
• Effective decision making
• Effectively communication
• Good knowledge about cGMP
• Good knowledge about LEAN and Continuous Improvement Processes
• Good knowledge of MS office, LIMS, SAP - desirable
• Good Swedish and English knowledge ,fluent in spoken and written
Working time/Duration
The position is a permanent employment from 01.04.2019 or earlier.
Full time, 100%, 40 hours/week.
