Our site in Malmö manufactures industrial paint and has been growing for the past 10 years. We are continuing our growth with additional volumes being brought in during 2014/2015. Our current production manager is taking on new responsibilities within AkzoNobel, thus we are now recruiting his successor. As a production manager, your responsibilities include:
• Plan, lead, organize & control the ICO production in Malmö so that the function contributes to business objectives and overall performance in terms of HSE&S, service, quality and costs.
• Plan and develop improvement programs to ensure safe operations, increase efficiency, upgrade quality and ensure reliability in the production department
• Continuously develop the production to support the business objectives and the business development.
• Identify and engage the team to participate in operational improvement initiatives.
• Prepare, implement and control budgets and objective for the ICO Production in Malmö.
• Set goals and manage an effective follow through of plans and goals.
• Ensure effective communication within Operations team in Malmö and build close relationship with relevant stakeholders within business.
• Responsible for implementation of Performance Coatings Production System (PCPS, Industrial Coatings manufacturing excellence program) within own unit.
• Establish and maintain a close and efficient relationship with stakeholders since we?re operating in a multisite.
• Network with other production and operations managers inside and outside of AkzoNobel to develop knowledge, experience and leverage best practise.
• Direct reports include Department managers (production), supervisors, Quality control manager, Maintenance manager, production engineering, with a total organization of approx. 120 employees, which will increase during 2014. The factories are today working 2 shifts.
As a member of the local management team in Malmö, reporting directly to ICO Site Manager, you will play a crucial role for the site in leading the ICO production in Malmö.
Job requirements / Candidate profile
You have a University degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
We believe that the right candidate has a proven track record from a similar position with full budget responsibility. You have been leading change and faced challenges with enthusiasm.
You are en experienced leader, working close with your team and stakeholders. You believe in the empowerment of your co-workers, having adopted and implemented lean or other manufacturing excellence programs in previous positions and is always striving to improve performance.
Most likely, you have at least 5-10 years? experience from manufacturing industry.
You are experienced in industrial relations and union negotiations. You have worked in an international company with functional responsibilities.
