City Solutions division is responsible for developing sustainable city solutions into a growing business for Fortum. The division comprises heating and cooling, waste-to-energy, recycling and expertise sales. In the division, Recycling and Waste business area provides recycling and material efficiency services, environmental management and hazardous waste treatment in the Nordics. www.fortum.com/wastesolutions.
Fortum Recycling and Waste solutions leads the change towards a low-emission energy system and optimal use of resources. The goal is to support customers' business by conserving natural resources and promoting circular economy. Fortum Recycling and Waste Solutions works together with customers to build smart and sustainable solutions for ensuring the circulation of valuable materials and the removal of harmful substances from the material cycle. As the Fortum Recycling and Waste Solutions business is steadily growing, we are also developing our organization and its management. We are now looking for a leader who is part of ensuring the future development and the overall success of the Recycling and Waste business.

Your role
This is a completely new high impact role in the heart of Fortum Recycling and Waste Management Services (RWS) and our aim is to is to support customers' business by delivering value-adding waste management services.
This is an opportunity for you as a leader to be part of business that will ensure a greener future for all of us.
You role is to receive, incinerate and treat waste and produce energy for district heating and electricity.
You are accountable of operation of heavy assets as incineration and pre-treatment of waste as mercury, physical wet chemistry and equipment handling.
You are responsible of End product quality and you have safety and environmental responsibility.

Your qualifications
To succeed, we need people with varying backgrounds, people who are curious and eager to make an impact. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in recycling and waste business, leading and managing both people and business operations.
You already have solid experience in leading operational excellence but also some experience in change management. You understand end-to-end processes and optimization of value chains. You have minimum 5 years of experience of operations, min 3 years of managerial experience.
You have budget and forecast process experience. High experience of office 365, cost follow up, reporting and investment material development is seen as an asset.
You have strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.
As an ideal academic background, you hold a master's degree engineering or in relevant field. We expect fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English, other languages are an asset.
