What you'll do?
As the Production Group Manager, you'll be responsible to develop, improve and oversee one of the production areas in Vårgårda, to plan and execute clear productivity goals and resources, adjust schedules as needed and monitor production standards. This to secure that the production lines are running as smoothly and effectively as possible according to set goals and budget. To your aid you'll lead a group of operators and team leaders that secures that the daily production is running as it should and that the processes are followed. Additionally, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing new processes and ways of working out of a Lean perspective.
You'll be a member of the Production Management group and you'll report directly to our Production Manager. Additionally, you'll belong to a team of Production Group Managers all responsible for their own production process and will have a close collaboration with our Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, and Industrial Engineering department.
What you'll bring
We presume that you are a person who is known how to instill trust and encourage confidence with you employees, since you know that it enables people's growth and innovative mindset. You know what to expect from your employees as well as what they can expect from you. You understand the different functions within the organization, their core processes and how they're
all linked together. With your competence and knowledge within Production processes and your team you're able to make fast and clear decisions. Therefore, we believe that you have previous experience in Production, Process and Change Management, preferably within Automotive and/or Electronics. You are known to maintain and monitor results (both quality and productivity levels) based on deadline, budget and goals.
You've got documented leadership skills and can identify and assign roles and responsibilities to your employees. When delivering goals, expectations and actions you do this with honesty, integrity and respect. You've got experience in coaching and inspiring individuals and teams, as well as identifying additional training needs amongst your employees. You know when to take off your "manager hat" and when to put it back on when you're talking to your employees and colleagues. Additionally, you've got experience communicating and building partnership with customers, suppliers and management groups. Should a conflict arise, then you know how to handle it, and what steps to take.
You have a passion for excellence, to be able to deliver on customer promises and cultivating innovation in our ways of working. When you are confronted with an issue, you are known to ask "why" as a way to better understand the root cause and are used to use different analytic methods in your problem-solving method. You make rational decisions that are based on facts and the task at hand
Level (diploma) required:
• Secondary school diploma in Mechanical/Automation/Electronic
• Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Automation/Electronic is highly merited
Other required skills:
• Documented leadership experience
• Good technical experience within Mechanical/Automation/Electronic
• Experience working with Lean production
• Customer and support experience
• Good MS Office experience
• Swedish and English, written and verbal
