As Production Engineer at Axis you will be involved in the entire development cycle playing a key role within the product development phase. You will ensure that the products are designed for production and that the production units have the right prerequisite and instructions to produce great products with high quality.
Your role will be to contribute with produceability expertise in product development and product maintenance projects, drive produceability activities in order to improve procedures and processes within Axis and to develop assembly instructions. You will also implement production methods at the production sites, both at different EMS's and at our configurations centers.
The role involves global traveling, both to Axis own Configuration centers and to our EMS's, approximately 50 days/year.
THE PRODUCTION PREPARATIONS TEAM
The team is involved in all stages of the product lifetime e.g. industrialization project management, production test development and product data management in PDM and ERP systems during development of new products. During serial production the group supports with test maintenance and product changes. The main collaboration is with R&D, EMS’s, the configuration centers and the quality department.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven and practical individual to increase and ensure produceability thinking within our development and maintenance projects. It’s important that you are a hands-on person with the ability to see construction problems both in print and on site. You enjoy and are good at finding solutions and making necessary changes both on early stages in the projects and on the production sites, supporting and educating production personnel.
Apart from the above we believe you have a technical University degree or similar and a minimum 4 years of previous production engineering experience in assembly of fine mechanics with moving parts. It is an advantage if you have experience of PCB assembly. Strong collaboration skills across departmental and organizational boarders are important as is strong communication skills in English, written and oral.
You have previous experience from working with FMEA.
