This position is a very important role in the Skövde Plant Organization as well as in the Skövde Plant Management Team reporting directly to the Vice President & Plant Manager.The Machining organization has approximately 900 employees today. Within the Machining function, we machine engine components for Volvo Powertrain engines ranging from 9-16 liters. Main activities and responsibilities for these rolesManage the Machining organization against set quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your management teamContinue the implementation of Volvo Production System (VPS), which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employeesBe the driving force to develop the Machining process and organization to become a benchmark within our industryCritical competencies and experienceWe are looking for a goal-oriented leader with a strong drive to deliver and have the ability to continually develop and improve the organization and its employees. Excellent communication skills are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships. You believe in building a knowledge based organization with a strong teamwork as a foundation. The ideal candidate for this positions has a long experience and knowledge of the Machining process, a University degree in relevant subject and experience from management within operations. Further, you are able to demonstrate a clear vision, a global mind-set and successful people & culture oriented leadership.
